In Slovenia, there are over 200 hotels with a capacity of 30 000 beds. In the last few years most of the hotels were renovated to fulfill high quality standards and they have been categorized according to international standards.
Hotels are mainly situated in the most important tourist centres on the coast, in mountain resorts, in spas and bigger cities. They offer different types of accommodation for various demands of their guests. There are five star hotels with congress halls, wellness programmes, gaming houses (casinos) and recreation grounds as well as smaller family hotels and private accommodation with homely atmosphere.
