Slovenian economical, geographical and cultural bonds with Europe make Slovenia an interesting destination for the organization of meetings, conferences, congresses and fairs. The tradition of organizing congresses in Slovenia stretches back to 1821 when the Congress of the Holy Alliance was held in our capital city of Ljubljana. Today Slovenia has several modern congress centers which every year host conventions, symposiums, and meetings from all over the world.

Larger congress centres accept up to 1.500 participants but there are numerous smaller congress and conference halls available as well. All the centres are easily accessible by road or air. The leading congress centres are Ljubljana, Portorož and Bled with Maribor following them closely. All the centres offer not only the room but also an intersting tourist experience with trips, shopping, sports and recreation activities, golf, wellness programmes etc.
