KRANJSKA GORA

Kranjska Gora lies in the middle of Zgornjesavska valley, one of our most beautiful alpine valleys which rests in the utmost Northwestern part of Slovenia, close to our borders with both Austria and Italy. This narrow valley situated between the Julian Alps and the Karavanke has been famous for its kind and hospitable people since the time when Sir Humphry Davy first visited the valley and fell in love with it. Mysterious and romantic, embraced by the magnificent mountain peaks the valley gave rise to numerous legends and fairy tales.

Nowadays the valley represents an important winter sports centre renowned for the World Alpine Ski Championships and Ski Jumping Championships at the Planica ski jump. Kranjska Gora with many sports events and plenty of entertainment is the place for an active holiday in every season. In winter you can try skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, sledge party, off-the-piste skiing or frozen waterfall climbing. In summer you can join many interesting activities like hiking, cycling, mountaineering, riding, fishing, free climbing or paragliding. Children can experience the adventures of  Kekec Land. All year long you can relax and enjoy in Aqua Larix Wellness Center.
