Projects in Slovenia
International Tourism Institute and National Tourist Association have been actively participating and co-creating various national projects. Some of them are of great importance, e.g. the development of Tourism Satellite Accounts and the development of Competitiveness Model for tourist destinations, which takes in account the sustainability indicators. Moreover, ITI carried out several projects of strategic planning for tourism product development, developed tourism activities throughout Slovenian regions, cooperated with local communities for the development of tourist destinations and conducted numerous studies on the specifics of tourism market, trends in tourism, current state and emerging needs in hospitality & tourism.
Past experiences of both institutions are rich, diverse and reflect a high qualification, focus on current issues, close cooperation with tourism industry and openness to the European market.
